My music experience has covered a twenty year period. It all started when I was fifteen playing with high school buddies in the band, Flyer. I thought, this is something I definitely want to do. Many bands later, I got the opportunity to play with Bazooka Joe, which lasted about seven years. They were an exceptional group of musicians that made me strive to be the best musician I could be. We had many awesome times and played music I never thought could be done in a cover band...but they always did it great.

Near the end of the Bazooka Joe days, I got into originals in a band called Seventh of Never. We had about fifteen to twenty quality originals under our belt and all recorded. Then we won the Battle of the Bands down on the Alton River Front and opened up for Survivor. We also opened up for Extreme at Mississippi Nights. The original band was going great when our singer was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease (a form of cancer) and couldn't perform any more. We must have tried out two dozen or more singers from all over the country to replace him, but we could not get our sound back.

I took a two year hiatus and then I was offered the drumming spot in the Country band Renegade. I thought there was no way I could do Country, but most of the music we played was New Country and a lot like Pop music. The guys were a great group of guys and good musicians. We were together for about five years, until I felt the need to get back to my roots, Rock-N-Roll. That's when I hooked up with Shawn, our bass player, who is a great musician with a lot of fire and Matt, our lead singer, who I call Thew. We played for about a year as Kick 22. Then we made the change to Leadfoot and hired Tim on guitar, who I think at his young age is a great guitar player and singer, has a ton of potential, and is only going to get better.

I've played jobs all over the St Louis Metro Area: St. Charles, Alton and Granite City, and a lot of out-of-town jobs in bands such as Flyer, Siam, Buzz Lightbeer, Subdivisions, Bazooka Joe, Renegade, Seventh of Never, Full Spectrum and Kick 22...fact is, there are a lot of band names I just can't remember.

I guess you can say I am the old guy in the group at 35, but I feel I still have a lot to offer. My influences include Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Omar Hakim, and Vinny Colaiuta. I love the sounds of Seal, Steely Dan, Disturbed, Sting, Police, Anthrax, Staind, and Seals and Croft.

I'm also very happy to have a family that has always supported my loud music and drum playing. From my mom and dad in my early years, to my lovely wife Michelle and my beautiful six year old daughter Hannah -- who loves to sing, play guitar, drums, and her keyboard. Without them, my playing simply wouldn't be possible.

My hobbies include bass fishing, playing with my daughter, video games and playing baseball. I also enjoy working with my sound and light equipment.

My final thoughts would be that I would like to thank the countless number of musicians I've shared the stage with, and the people that have supported my music career; including the best sound man I have ever had the privilege to work with, Chris Childers who taught me a lot about not overplaying and how to run sound equipment in general.

Come out and rock with us, we love to have a good time and hope to see y' all at our shows. Keep the Crown flowing.

LEADFOOT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
